The Franciscan Center is located on eight acres along the eastern banks of the Hillsborough River. The Center came to fruition as a result of the spiritually unique mission of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, N.Y. In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, we welcome everyone who seeks spiritual growth through a deeper relationship with God in a place of peace, community, healing and joy.

Keynote Speaker: Sister Margeret Mary Kimmins, O.S.F.
Sister Margaret Mary is Congregational Minister
of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, NY,
an intercultural congregation ministering in Bolivia, Brazil, Jamaica,
United States and soon in Mozambique, Africa.

She will share stories on the rich heritage of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, their charism, mission and their Franciscan-Clarian Spirituality. She will reveal the vision of the congregation and their desire to build a global community based on the values of justice, peace, dignity of the human person and being sister and brother to all creation.

Holy Week Retreat
with Father Ed Lamp
The days of Holy Week are a special time of grace in which to recall the events of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection. Come away for a Holy Week Retreat during the three days leading up to Easter Sunday: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. The Franciscan Center provides the ideal setting to opening one’s self to the great graces of celebrating the special liturgies. The weekend features talks with Father Ed Lamp, as well as time for quiet reflection in the peaceful atmosphere of the Franciscan Center.
